Ribbons

At dual meets, Place Winner ribbons are awarded to the top six finishers in each individual event and the top six relay teams.  Heat Winner ribbons are awarded to the winner of each heat.  Way To Go ribbons are awarded for an overall good effort by a young swimmer.

Also each swimmer will have the opportunity to earn Personal Best ribbons as they improve their individual event times.

Heat Winner ribbons are handed out at the conclusion of each heat.  Place Winner, Way To Go, and Personal Best ribbons are placed in the swimmers' folders after the meet results have been recorded.

Ribbon policies may differ at away meets and at championship meets as the host team or league ribbon policies apply.

Grand Slam Award

If a swimmer competes in all of the following four meets:  Bardmoor Invitational, TBAY Invitational, PCL Championships, and PAL Championships, they will receive a special award in honor of their attendance and participation.  The meets are open to swimmers of all ages and abilities so every member of the team can participate.

At these meets team points are awarded for events and total points are tabulated to determine the winning team.  All swimmers are encouraged to attend these meets and help the CCCA Dolphins hit a GRAND SLAM.

Marconi Award

The Marconi Award was established in memoriam to honor Diane Marconi, an active swim team parent, who exemplified courage and grace in the face of adversity. Diane was an inspiration to others as her health was failing; she was dedicated to and present in the life of her family; traveling to meets, cheering on her daughters.

The Marconi Award recipient is chosen for exhibiting the attributes of presence; being at practices and meets with desire, dedication; committing to work hard and with enthusiasm at swim team events, courage; to accept and rise above challenges that might be seen as a roadblock by another, grace; the ability to be your best self and inspire others. Each recipient receives an individual plaque and the CCCA team keeps a perpetual plaque to commemorate Diane Marconi and these inspiring youth of CCCA.
